Released by Audemars Piguet in 1972, the Royal Oak is a classic for watch collectors. Inspired by diver’s helmets – it was designed by the great Gerald Genta, also the designer of the Patek Philippe Nautilus. The original size of the Royal Oak as conceived by Gerald Genta is 39mm whilst most modern interpretations are 41mm slightly modifying the original shape. The ref 15204 is the only ultra thin 39mm skeleton time only steel Royal Oak. Audemars Piguet are known to be one of the best maisons in their executions of skeleton timepieces - this is proven once again with the 15204OR.
