Released by Audemars Piguet in 1972, the Royal Oak is a classic for watch collectors. Inspired by diver’s helmets – it was designed by the great Gerald Genta, also the designer of the Patek Philippe Nautilus. The model we’re offering today is a yellow gold 5402 with an immaculate grey dial. Most often, these grey dials are prone to small imperfections where the painting slightly fades, exposing the underlying copper of the dial. This matches the overall condition of the watch, with its very tight bracelet (but still very comfortable), and all original parts. This exceptional piece comes with its original box and papers.
